These are very useful to me as I don't have a very high ceiling to hang a bag. It allows me to custom raise the bag up a little and not have to worry about wearing out metal on metal bag loops. Glad I found them...very sturdy.
So far the sling has worked miraculously to reduce the noise problem to almost nil. Without the metal and metal contact, the only sound comes from the pop of hitting the bag, so I can practice without bothering my wife. I can't speak yet to the durability--I bought two just in case.
