Michael Allan Budnik (born August 8, 1974) is an American mixed martial artist. He lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he trains at the Triton Fight Center. Mike was a top professional inline skater. He left skating at the age of 28. He started training Jiu Jitsu, and it soon led to his first professional fight in September 2007. As Mike said himself – the fight gave him more adrenaline than any of his skating events. He made his WEC debut on August 3, 2008 at WEC 35 against Greg McIntyre. He won the bout by pulling off a submission due to triangle choke in the third round. Mike's current MMA record is 9 – 4. Mike is one of the competitors for the UFC on The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck which premiers on Spike in September 2010. |
