Revgear sponsored fighter Mikey “Paraguaio” Gomez (9-5), a Gracie Barra blackbelt under Marcio Simas, and member of Team Babalu/Gracie Barra Cerritos, meets Jessie Juarez (7-5) of Lakewood, California in an undercard bout on Bellator’s April 10, 2009 card at the Mohegan Sun. Ironcially, Mikey and Jesse were previously slated to butt heads as the main event at the Long Beach Fight Night on April 19, 2009 in Long Beach, California. Jesse pulled out of the event because of his signing with Bellator. Mikey then agreed to another opponent and was then signed by Bellator as well. The proposed opponent: Jesse Juarez. Now, the two will fight on April 10, clear across the U.S. In Connecticut. When asked for comment, Mikey Gomez stated: you can run but you can’t hide.
