It was a “Night of Champions” organized by American Fighting Organization, New England’s up and coming MMA promoter, at Braintree Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center in Braintree, MA.

One forum wrote before the fight: “Tim O’Connell will face Isabel Franklin in what some are calling a grudge match. After Tim’s loss on Feb 21st and being called out by Franklin, there is a score to be settled.”

Isabel Franklin had been undefeated as a pro. During the fight Tim used standup to wear his opponent out a little, then took the fight to the ground. Tim submitted Isabel with a heel hook at 1:27.
